Credit Union Award for Sinead Flynn
This week came the announcement that West Waterford’s Sinead Flynn had won the Credit Union award for November. This award recognises the success that Sinead has had throughout the year. Last year Sinead had a very successful cross-country season but in 2009 she showed she could be as good on the track as over cross-country.  During the track season she won the Munster 600m under 12 and went on to finish second in the All Ireland. Sinead also collected bronze Munster and silver All Ireland medals when she anchored West Waterford’s under 12 relay team. In October she won the county cross country title under 12 and led her team to the county under 12 and under 13 team titles. Sinead was second in the Munster under 12 and again led her team to the club title. Continuing her good form in November she finished 7th in the Munster under 13 where her team finished second. Later in the month at the All Ireland Cross Country Championships under 12 she finished in second place in the race led Munster to the gold medals in the interprovincial race and West Waterford to third in the club championships.
For these achievements Sinead was selected to receive the November Credit Union Award.
