Training Starts this Week
Now that summer is almost over its time to turn our minds to cross -country –- mind you given the weather of late that might not be too difficult. Training for cross-country will start on Wednesday 27th August at 6.00pm and we hope to welcome all our young athletes back to training. Training for the next few week will be on Wednesday and Friday nights at 6.00 pm in the Friary. It is important to get back in training as quickly as possible as cross country races will be starting up in the middle of September.
First National Title for Claire Collins
West Waterford’s Claire Collins was in action last weekend at the National Finals of the Community Games, which were held for the last time at Mosney. Representing Waterford Claire competed in the under 17 High Jump where her first time clearance at 1m 53cms was enough to win the gold medal and claim her first national title.
