Kit Kat All Ireland Schools Cross Country Championships
D.C.U. was the venue for last weekend’s schools championships. The course was flat but a strong wind and soft ground made conditions difficult for the young athletes. St. Augustines were among the medal winners when they took the silver medals in the senior boys team event. They were without David Mc McCarthy who was out with flu but the rest of the team ran out of their skins and finished a close second to St. Malachys Belfast.
In the senior girls event the Ardscoil girls finished sixth in the team event.
